Domestic Missionary
While in employment and under the oversight of the Cloverdale Church of Christ Elders, the Missionary’s major responsibilities will be:
- To evangelize and train leaders.
- To actively teach and promote the new testament Gospel of Jesus Christ
- To show a desire to win souls.
- To strengthen new testament churches in the area
- To be servants and examples to the people of the area.
- To grow in Christian maturity.
- To exemplify and exalt Christ.
- Seek to encourage further involvement by church members.
- Be submissive to the eldership of the Cloverdale Church of Christ during the period of this agreement, submitting to the spiritual direction, advice, counsel, and supervision of financial support.
- Be responsible for personal financial commitments made by the Missionary’s family.
- Not pursue secular work.
- Be responsible for raising all work funds, which will be collected, reviewed and released by the Cloverdale Church of Christ.|
- Use the working funds as an extension of the Lord’s church in the mission field and not as an extension of the missionaries’ personal salary or in such a way that discourages congregational giving on the part of the mission church.
- Not use working funds to buy buildings on the mission field.
- Complete regular accounting forms, at least on a yearly basis, to report expenses and receipts submitted, adequate to meet U.S. tax requirements.
- Not use special funding organizations to make up for any lack of regular monthly funds.
- Acknowledge that all items purchased with working funds are considered property of the Cloverdale Church of Christ and that funds from the sale of such items will be deposited into the working fund account.
- Take advantage of one week of leave per year, with salary, for personal edification in attending lectureships, gospel meetings, and campaigns of the Missionary’s choice (associated expenses are not reimbursed by Cloverdale Church of Christ).
- Deliver periodic written mission reports on the Missionary’s work (monthly or bi-monthly) to Cloverdale Church of Christ

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Bible Studies, Missions, or a closely related field, and two years of experience as Missionary, Preacher or clergy related, are required.
